SEQUENTIAL SWITCHBACKS: Yep, you read that correctly. ACME is giving the cake and letting you eat it too with the new Dynamo strips. Not only do they provide the excellent Type II switchback function that everybody has come to expect out of any LED accent lighting today, but when the amber mode kicks in - the Dynamo delivers a badass sequential effect.
CONSTRUCTION: The White/Amber LED chips are soldered to a semi-flexible but stable circuit board, making them easy to work with. The sequential function requires components on the back of the board, so for that reason - we highly recommend avoiding these if you've got some severe angles to work with. Bend 'em too much and they will break!
DON'T BE FOOLED: Typically SMD-based LED strips are a bit spotty due to the spacing on the LEDs..but ACME's clever external driver design allows the LED's to be mounted with virtually zero gap between them. When lit, they will create a singular, smooth, and seamless band of bright light!
WIRING READY: With over 3 feet of input wiring and their inline voltage regulators / switchback-sequential controller, the ACME Super Flex strips are very easy to wire into your vehicle's electrical system. Just apply 12V +/- and you're good to go! The amber color triggers from a turn signal lead.
SIZING: ACME does not recommend cutting more than 1 inch off the strips (3 LEDS) because the remaining chips would then be over-powered by the voltage regulator. Luckily, they are offered in three lengths to fit most every purpose (12", 16", 20")
